Design Me have been appointed by Thenue Housing Association to provide full Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health designs for the new build flatted development in the East End of Glasgow.

Work is nearing completion on the exciting redevelopment of a former hotel in iconic Monteith Row next to Glasgow Green.

The Building has been preserved and turned into new flats in a project costing £9.3 million.

Forty-nine new flats have also been created in conjunction with the redeveloped former hotel.

The total number of homes built is 120 and the development has been built by Cruden Building.

The Chief Executive of Thenue housing, Charles Turner said: “This is an important step forward in bringing much-needed new homes to the east end. Monteith Row is an iconic Glasgow street and preserving a much-loved building by creating modern, energy-efficient new homes will be greatly welcomed by the community. It is wonderful that a building with such a rich historical connection to the city is being given a new lease of life.”
